Home Tour 2018

All in the efforts to create a perfect balance of aesthetics and practicality in our home. Complimentary shuttle service between houses keeps approximate wait time to 5 minutes. Christmas is perhaps my favorite season to decorate our home. Here are several ideas through the years.

I always LOVE traditional red, but it got me thinking… green and golds are also very traditional. So, I decided to try a traditional route that wasn’t too… traditional? I love the dark hunter green coupled with the bright brass. Whilst decorating I did get a bit of a wild hair and threw in a touch of deep blue.

Faux Greenery

The red in each room just pops and is so beautiful. Your kitchen is always a favorite and then your dining room looks so perfect with the red plaid. The gingle belll name stands is genius. I have to say that my favorite is your bedroom, that gorgeous gray velvet and then those red pillows totally stole my heart. Thanks so much for joining the tours, such a beautiful home. My Christmas tiered tray was such a hit last year, that I just had to decorate it again.

I almost didn’t post this photo because if you see in the green magazine holder on the left, there is a baseball man sticking out. This summer home tour 2018 could not be more simple. I have wanted to soak up as much of summer as we can while still working and having the kids home all summer. It hasn’t been easy, but I knew the house decor had to be easy and not fussy. Summer means I have been hunting at yard sales and have new things I want to add to the decor.

Enjoy a beautiful Christmas Home Tour full of neutral decor and pops of traditional red.

My family is very patient with my design obsession. My entryway is tiny, so just a sprig of seasonal leaves and a pumpkin are more than enough here. It’s been raining so much here the rain boots are a constant by the door. If you’re new around here, welcome to my humble home!

Fall Home Tour 2018

Was very nice to see your lovely home, thanks for giving us a peek inside. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It is a noble fir and it is a real tree.

The dining room got a slightly different look this year with collected thrift store villages painted white. While I have scaled back on my decorating, I've still decorated the downstairs for all of the get-togethers that we have had during the season. My inspiration for our Christmas tablescape this year was the red buffalo check runnerand the Merry embroidered napkins. I love they way they compliment each other and add a nice festive look to our table. As you come in and pass through the living room, you reach our kitchen. In here, you’ll see that I kept with the accent red theme in just a few places.

Neutral colors, very immaculate and a large backyard for play area with a nice storage workshop and you will love the huge oak trees. There is a covered patio for grilling. The location is great for the commuter to Fort Worth, less than 21 minutes to downtown Fort Worth and 18 minutes to Lockheed.

As you read this I am on the road moving my eldest from our home in Fort Worth to her new job in Nashville. Upon my return, I will swallow my tears and begin to transform her upstairs suite into a glorious craft room. Mr. Decor will be installing much-needed carpet in all the bedrooms.

And featured a seminar on decorating trends by Braden’s Lifestyle and coffee by Ugly Mug. The homes in the 2018 tour are in the Tellico Village neighborhoods of Mialaquo, Toqua, Tanasi and Tommotley Shores. Hello Laura, I love how you’ve decorated your home for Summer 2018!!! Your neighbor girls are adorable!!! My two sweet neighbors, Mae and Nora, recently offered free lemonade to all those out for a summer stroll. They love to visit Storybook Cottage and I hope that you do as well.

I purchased it locally from a small tree farm in Boise off Ustick Rd, East of Cloverdale Rd. We had a real tree this year after years with a fake one. It was a grand tree – measured at 11 feet and we knew right away it was our tree when we spotted it in the tree lot. One hundred percent of ticket sales from the home tour are distributed to local charities and organizations.

It is so fun to add different messages to the family on it. Coming up with great sayings to share on Instagram or highlight a summer menu has been frequent around here since I got it. The wood letter boards come in many sizes and colors. When I thought about this summer home tour 2018, I thought about how we are going to spend the time in our home this summer. Hopefully, we aren’t spending a lot of time indoors and are out adventuring and making memories. The reality is that I still have to work so some days we are at home so it has to be super comfortable for our family.
