I know, I know, I went totally nuts, but I love it and I stand by my devil may care attitude towards my “traditional tree”. The Mount Baker Home Tour and accompanying Art & Craft Fair is one of our most popular and long-running programs. Back at the Clubhouse we also host a, Art & Craft Fair so you can get some of your holiday shopping taken care of during the Home Tour. I really don't use a lot of knick-knack type of things in my Christmas decor these days. I like to use regular decor and add greenery and ornaments to it.
I love it, every vignette just recalls beautiful summer memories. Your yard looks amazing and your fabulous table set with a love tea is stunning. Thanks so much for joining the tours, your home is always such a delight and I love your attention to every detail. I don’t like a lot of random stuff around.

Your home is so beautiful and cozy! We had real trees for 8 years, lived at my moms over last Christmas and she has a fake one. We bought a fake one at Costco this year and I will never go back! We have a fluffy rug in our living room and the last thing I needed was needles in it.

This year’s home tour is taking a look at homes built in different decades beginning in the 1900’s. There are seven homes on the tour this year with architecture from 1900’s through the 1950’s as well as a brand new home, which in Trinity Park is hard to come by. It was filled with extra napkins, plates, utensils, and other sea-inspired accents.

At the entry of our house was this mailbox – the kids had alot of fun hiding things in there.
I almost didn’t post this photo because if you see in the green magazine holder on the left, there is a baseball man sticking out. This summer home tour 2018 could not be more simple. I have wanted to soak up as much of summer as we can while still working and having the kids home all summer. It hasn’t been easy, but I knew the house decor had to be easy and not fussy. Summer means I have been hunting at yard sales and have new things I want to add to the decor.

Seagrass chargers set the tone for this simple place setting. She is surrounded by sea glass, shells and floats layered on a vintage French metis runner. The formal dining area also features an aquatic theme. Across the room from the hutch is the fireplace mantel. The green hutch was filled with neutral dishes accented with faux summery greenery. In the entry area, I selected a neutral seaside themed color palette.
Every inch of your home and summer decor is precious. And those quilts from a yard sale – Amazing find! Hope you have a wonderful summer making those memories. The easiest way to switch-up decor for any season, holiday, celebration, etc. is one of my favorite things – wood letter boards! This board is one of my favorite things right now.
This is our first year as empty nesters. Both of our kids got married a few months ago and moved out. Luckily, they both live within 30 minutes of us. My friend Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home organized this fun, small tour for us.
Close to shopping, HEB Grocery, restaurants and Lake Weatherford. The granite and kitchen island are lovely and the floorplan has a great flow. There are full sprinklers and a lovely community pool awaits the hot Texas summers. When I was taking photos for this summer home tour 2018, the sun was coming in so pretty in the living room that I had to take a photo.
